A transportation management system (TMS) is the record of truth for freight: every load, its customer, its carrier or truck, its status, its documents, its invoice.
Whatever TMS an employer uses, the concepts are the same: master data (customers, carriers, drivers, equipment), the load lifecycle (booked → dispatched → in transit → delivered → invoiced → paid), documents, and reports.
